Happy Thanksgiving

CornucopiaThanksgivingWoke up this morning Thankful that I did. Its been a long couple of years health wise for me, nothing like what some of my dear friends are going through and I am thankful they are still fighting the fight.

I am so thankful for my boys as you all have seen me write before ” They are the reasons my heart beats” I am thankful for my husband, we had a hard year but things are so much better. He loves his new job and we are thankful for that. My beautiful stepdaughter Cheryl and my beautiful daughter in law to be Ann Marie, how lucky am I to have them in my life. My family and my friends I am truly thankful for them . I am thankful for it all today, I have more than so many and I appreciate it and I am grateful for it.

Today we spend the afternoon with friends/best bosses in the world (LOL) for a wonderful brunch. Then off to my in laws (who I adore) for a few hours and then to end the night we go to my Best Friend in the Whole Worlds house where they deep fry a turkey breast for me so I have something to munch on tomorrow after work and the weekend. I hope you all have a wonderful day. I love you all and I am thankful for all your friendships and allowing me to be a part of you of your lives

Face Book Connections

Facebook logo

So how many of you are on face book? Like me I am addicted not only because of business ( OK I play Candy Crush ) but it keeps me in touch with friends and its the only way I can see that my 23 year old son is still alive and well  :(   I miss his face, hugs and kisses.

Anyway back on subject, I belong to several groups on Face Book that have to do with Celiacs Disease, my Fibromyalgia and so on. I thought I would share some of those groups with you just in case you are feeling like you are the only one having issues or if you want to bounce ideas or hear what others are doing or taking to help with their on going issues. Some of these group are closed private groups and you have to ask to join but well worth it if you do. Never ever please advertise or try to sell any products on these groups its not what they are there for.

So below is a list of the few groups where I go to if I want advice or bounce of ideas or help add a comment and support to fellow people who like me have autoimmune diseases that just wreck havoc with our bodies and lives.

I hope these can be helpful to someone in some way ♥

Fibro Girls

Dr. Ford, Gluten Free Planet

Dermatis Herpetiformis … You are not alone

Discover Gluten Freedom My favorite for recipes, she is awesome ♥ she also has a Face Book page

Product review: Lemonesse

This is a product review for Lemonesse

I was fortunate enough to be at the very beginning of this company when it first started out.  Adam asked for people who enjoyed lemon water to join his group on Face book. I was invited to look at prototypes, ideas, labels and so on. My opinion as a consumer was requested and given and I watched as this company unfolded into what it has become today. I watch Adam and listen to him talk passionately about his desire to have this product come into the market place, what he wanted and how he wanted to present it.  Although it did make some major changes from the original idea I believe the outcome is one that shows how much passion and hard work he has put into this product. As a business owner myself I understood and could relate to the passion within him to make sure his product was as perfect as it could be.

LÉMONESSE is the 1st ever organic bottled lemon water. It is made with hand-picked organic lemons and from the best natural spring water America.

The bottle is easy to handle and easy to open.

The label is clear and tells you exactly what you are getting.

Taste: Lemonesse tastes refreshing, it is just that simple. No bubbles, no fizz. It is just like freshly squeezed lemons in water and somehow just the right amount of lemon.

I drink only water. I don’t drink pop I don’t drink anything but water. Ok, in the morning I do drink coffee but throughout my day it’s water and if I have time its lemon water. Now I have had Pellegrino and Perrier and they are a sparkling water which is fine but Lemonesse is different. I actually prefer Lemonesse. I love lemon water, it’s good for you. This is a great product, I love it and I know you will also.

At the moment you can find Lemonesse at several fine dining establishments in Chicago. I know Adam and his company are working hard to bring Lemonesse into the retail market and I certainly hope that will be soon.

Please go to the following site and check out Lemonesse

Turmeric CurcuminIt also naturally detoxifies the liver, is a potent natural anti-inflammatory that works as well as anti-inflammatory drugs and has long been used in Chinese medicine. Very interesting and you can add a lil pinch here and there to you favorite foods to spice it up and help you as well. I’m thinking pretty cool ♥

Blueberry Muffins

I made these great muffins using King Arthur’s Flour, Gluten Free Muffin Mix. All I had to do was follow some simple directions and added my blueberries. It has a vanilla base so you can add anything, banana’s, chocolate chips, apples or applesauce, nuts if your are not allergic. I made a double batch and I made them just before Christmas and they stayed fresh and they are yummy. I did not refrigerate them so I was surprised how great they lasted. Most of my friends and family loved them, some thought I should have added sugar but it didn’t call for it and I didn’t think it needed it. Most of my guests and friends at work couldn’t even tell they were gluten free.

♥ So I love ♥ King Arthur’s Flour, Gluten Free Muffin Mix and will use it again, I’m thinking dark chocolate chips for the next batch ♥

Why I have been missing in action

I haven’t been around for some time. Here are a few reasons why. First, I started a new job ♥ I no longer work with children with special needs, I was being exposed to to much illness. A good friend of mine hired me over the summer to help him out at his shop and offered me a position (well I kinda bugged him) that I couldn’t say “No” to. I am the Office Manager, Phone Girl and Ebay Goddess (in training, LOL)  The great thing is, I love it and the best thing is I haven’t gotten one cold since I started.  Now for more great news, the nodule they found in my brain hasn’t changed and I am no longer having migraines. My new medication is working great, so no more MRI’s and seeing my neurologist for a year ♥

Now for not so good news, I was recently diagnosed with something new to add to my list. Along with Celiac Disease, Fibromyalgia, Sjogren’s Syndrome and Cutaneous Lupus, I now have Restless Legs Syndrome.

OMG this is the most painful thing I have experienced in my life. Only when I start to rest does this happen, its gets worse as the night goes on and it has developed into horrible painful charlie horse cramps in my feet and calves. I will wake me up from a dead sleep and it will knock me out of my bed and last for hours. I have become deprived of sleep and my legs are so sore by the time I wake up. Nothing happens during the day, only when at the end of the night when I get ready to relax.

So by the time I get home, check my business, fill orders (if we have any), do laundry, go to therapy (twice a week) and what ever else I need to do, I have just been to exhausted to do anything else. So I am trying to figure out a schedule to dedicate my self back to my blog. I miss being here and miss posting. I think this time on Sundays will work for me, so far so good. Oh and on top of this we had been having work done on our house LOL like I don’t have enough on my plate.
